One year with the Nikon D850

Over the last 20 years, I've carried 7 different Nikons: N90s, F100, D40, D70, D700, D800, and the D850, which turns 1 year old today.

To me, the F100 was the pinnacle of film cameras: sturdy and reliable, well-designed, with state-of-the-art performance and capabilities. The D850 is the first digital camera I've owned that I feel lives up to that aesthetic. Sure, a D5 would be fun if I wanted to drop 6 grand on a body, and an F5 would have been nice back in the day for that matter, but I feel like the D850 can do everything I'll ever need from a camera.

Here are a dozen of my favorite D850 photos from the last year.
