Halfway to Table Mountain
We can see several mountains from our backyard deck, and the highest one is Table Mountain, 10,223 feet sea level. It's the highest point in the Highland Mountains, and also the highest point in our county, Butte-Silver Bow county.
I've always wanted to hike up there, and after working hard this summer to recover from my knee surgeries I thought I could get there yesterday. But I under-estimated how long the hike would take, so I decided to turn around this time and I'm going to make plans to try again before this year's hiking season is over.
I used yesterday's hike to practice with my DJI Action 6 camera and the Bluetooth microphone I recently picked up (a Hollyland Lark M2), and I've uploaded a compiled video to YouTube, which I'll link below. It has a few rough spots in the audio and video production, but I'm learning a lot and these videos will improve in quality over time. I feel lucky to have so many amazing places to go hiking near our home, and I'm planning to make some videos like this to share some of our favorite places.
A video of my Table Mountain attempt yesterday.
